Whenever I am in the area, I always stop into this small gem of a shop. The sales staff will invariably approach me and ask if I am aware of a few new releases that perhaps were not on my radar. Never pushy, more out of a shared enthusiasm for discovering something very cool, they will pull out a few volumes for my viewing. Photo books can only poorly be evaluated online. You need to touch them, smell the ink, feel the paper weight, judge the image pacing and evaluate the print quality. It’s an example of why good retail is actually doing just fine. There is something about making a discovery in the real world that is so much more satisfying than shopping through Instacart.
