I’ve used the same much-loved carry-on for over 10 years and easily a million air miles. I loved this bag, but it was getting a bit shabby despite a few trips to the luggage repair shop. As a replacement I chose the Away Bigger Carry On. As fitting from founders who hail from Warby Parker, it is fully returnable and refundable after 100 days no matter what the condition of the bag or your reason for taking it back. So why do I love it? The wheels are great, the same ones used on $700 Tumi bags-it rolls perfectly either tilted or straight up. Most importantly, somehow I am able to get more into the bag than my last one. Apparently it is slightly taller and wider than a normal carry-on, but it never caused problems when I took it on long-haul or inter-European flights. Mine is in black, but I would go for the white, as I have started to see a number of the black ones around airports. Check them out here.
