    Driverless Cars Increase Mobility

It seems clear that the age of driverless cars is quickly approaching. Tesla is the current leader, but others are fast catching up as the big tech companies partner with the auto industry. One of the big fears when considering ourselves at an advanced age is the possibility of becoming isolated and disconnected. Diminishing eyesight and decreasing reflexes and coordination issues spell the end of driving and the onset of a fearfully dependent lifestyle. This is one of the main drivers of the trend towards urbanization in people over 50: move somewhere you can walk or take a bus rather than depend on a car. But what happens when cars are no longer human controlled? It would seem to be a boon to aging mobility, especially to those choosing to age in the suburbs.
